Magnetic Radiospectroscopy Laboratory and Department of Quantum Electronics and Radiospectroscopy of Kazan State University

Department of Quantum Electronics
and Radiospectroscopy

Current research activities

Crystal and electron structure studies of high-Tc oxide superconductors by using electron paramagnetic resonance and nuclear magnetic resonance of both hast and impurity rareearth and copper ions, crystal and electron structure studies of ferroelectrics, glasses and dielectics single crystals by using EPR methods, the microscopic theory of high-Tc superconductors, the optical spectroscopic studies and a search for new active media of solid state lasers (including tunable ones) based on all kinds of fluoride compounds doped with 3d- and 4f-ions, the thermal magnetic coupling between the liquid helium-3 and surface of a paramagnetic crystal

Research resources and equipment

Helium liquefiers, ovens for a growth of large fluorine-based single crystals, EPR and NMR both continuous waves and pulsed wide-band spectrometers, cryogenic eguipment for experiments at liquid helium-4 temperatures, helium-3/helium-4 dilution refrigerators for experiments at ultralow temperatures, optical spectrometers and special devices for experiments with near infrared and ultraviolet tunable solid state lasers
